"Media" Section Updated

Riots and protests continue throughout the country. However, the government has increased its efforts in suppressing Iranians seeking freedom and basic human rights. Reports indicate several thousand have been injured since the beginning of the protests several days ago. This number can very well continue to become larger as the use of lethal force by the regime has become rampant. The government has set up many bases throughout cities to ensure a quick response to protesters. Roadblocks have also been set up as government forces check for ID and take away cameras or any other methods of communication. The death toll is not yet clear nor accurate but may range anywhere from three hundred to a thousand. The regime has continued shooting, brutally beating, and arresting Iranians. They have lost all credibility among the majority of Iranians - if they even had any in the first place. The desperation is evident as the government has brought in more foreign fighters to ensure its survival. The definition of brave = the Iranian people! More updates will be posted.

Long live Iran! Long live Iranians!

Saturday was a day where Iranians throughout the country showed the Islamic Republic and the world that they will not back down and will continue the fight to gain freedom. The government, with the use of Basij forces, Revolutionary Guards, riot police, and foreign Hezbollah fighters dealt with the Iranian people very harshly. Basij forces, using ambulances, lured Iranians towards them and opened fire- this has been reported multiple times and has been confirmed. The government also poured deadly chemicals on Iranian crowds from helicopters, which resulted in countless injuries. The government has also followed many Iranians to their homes and marked them so they can be dealt with later; many homes have been raided and people have been beaten and arrested. State media is continuing to spread misinformation and propaganda; they are trying relentlessly to weaken the Iranian people. The reported death toll is not yet very clear nor accurate due to the government's efforts in controlling what news leaves the country. However, it has been estimated to be anywhere from three hundred to a thousand dead. The amount of injured is also not very clear but from the reports from hospitals and videos, the number can be in the thousands. The government has spared no one as they have opened fire on men, women, children, and even elders.

FURTHER UPDATE ON CURRENT SITUATION IN IRAN

The streets of Iran are filled with millions of people still seeking freedom and justice. Shouts of "death to dictator" and "death to Khamenei" can be heard among many Iranians. In many parts of the country, such as Tabriz, Shiraz, Tehran, Rasht, and Isfahan, there have been major clashes between Iranian civilians and the Islamic regime. Thousands of Iranians have been injured and countless have been killed due to the barbarity and ruthlessness of the government. Several foreign embassies have opened their doors to help treat the wounded. The Islamic regime, becoming increasingly more desperate to hold onto power by any means, has resorted to widespread lethal force. Iranians have faced tear gas, live ammunition, brutal beatings, and arrests. Riot police and Basij forces show little mercy towards the Iranian people as many have reported them opening fire on civilians. However, this has not slowed down or stopped the determination and desire of the Iranian people to free their country; in many parts of Iran riot police and Basij forces have been overwhelmed and pushed back by the people. State media has been increasing their efforts in spreading misinformation and propaganda in hopes of minimizing the severity of the situation throughout the country. Such efforts have not been very successful as Iranians have been showing up throughout the country in overwhelming numbers.

UPDATE ON CURRENT SITUATION IN IRAN

The Islamic Republic is trying to suppress all Iranians who are standing up for their rights and freedoms. The Islamic government has implemented the use of extreme force; the use of live ammunition and unjustified brutal attacks has left many Iranians dead and countless injured. All major forms of media have been banned and foreign journalists have either been kicked out of the country or restricted. Many means of communication have also been shut down, blocked or filtered, such as internet access. The Islamic government is trying, by any means, to silence millions of Iranians. Universities throughout the country have been attacked and hundreds of students have been taken from their dormitories to prisons. Homes have been broken into and the property of people, such as vehicles, have been damaged by the government. Some members of the police have been siding with the people and protecting them from the brutal attacks of the Basij forces. Many high-ranking members of the Iranian military have been arrested for an alleged coup d'tate. The Islamic government is bringing thousands of members of Hezbollah from Lebanon to assist the Basijis in attacking and suppressing Iranians -confirmed.

The list of atrocities that have been carried out by the Islamic government is endless. However, finally people all over the world will realize what Iranians have been enduring for the last 30 years. What is going on in Iran is no longer focused on a stolen election but rather the desire to attain a form of government that is not corrupt, dangerous, oppressive, dictatorial, and among many more, illegitimate. The Islamic government can not stop this revolution. Iranians have united and are determined to make their voices heard. 2009 is the year that Iran and Iranians can finally close such a dark chapter in their history and look forward to a future where the will of the people rules!

Long Live Iran!

The Islamic Republic has oppressed and occupied Iran since 1979 and has eliminated and jailed all its opposition. The Islamic Republic does not represent the Iranian people or their culture, traditions, morals, and way of life - politically and socially. The dictatorial Islamic government holds no credibility among the Iranian people and is viewed as an illegitimate police force instilling fear among the populace.

We the Iranian people, living within Iran and abroad, demand the immediate resignation of all government officials.

This is to be followed with the trial of all government officials, collaborators, sympathizers, profiteers, and other key figures.

We the Iranian people demand justice for the past 30 years of injustice, oppression, inequality, discrimination, deception, barbarity, and lies!

The real revolution is near.

We the Iranian people demand freedom - The freedom of speech, freedom of religion and belief, freedom of thought and expression, freedom of the press, the freedom of peaceful assembly, and political freedom.

We want Freedom! We want Democracy! We want a Secular State!

Through unity we shall overcome the Islamic Republic and liberate our country.

We all have the common goal of freeing Iran.

Do not let political and religious differences divide us.

Unite as we are all fighting for our country and future!
